Public Notice of Non-Candidacy

The Village Clerk for the Village of Spencer in Marathon County, Wisconsin, hereby gives notice that a Form EL-163 Notification of Noncandidacy has been received from Phil White, one of three incumbent Village Trustees, indicating that he will not be a candidate for that office at the Spring Election to be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026.

A Notification of Noncandidacy is used when a current officeholder declares they will not seek re-election for the upcoming election. If an incumbent does not file a nomination paper or a Notification of Noncandidacy by the statutory deadline, the filing deadline for non-incumbent candidates is extended by 72 hours, as provided by Wis. Stat. §§ 8.10 and 120.06.
